Seaver, a 12-time All-Star and three-time NL Cy Young Award winner, passed away in 2020 from Lewy body dementia and COVID-19 complications at the age of 75. The auction, organized by Heritage Auctions, offers a glimpse into Seaver's illustrious career, showcasing his 1973 Mets National League championship ring, Baseball Hall of Fame induction plaque, a Mets hat from the late 1960s, and his 1967 BBWAA National League Rookie of the Year Award. Additionally, the auction includes rings from the 1975 and 1981 All-Star Games, his 1986 American League championship ring with the Boston Red Sox, and a ring marking his 300th MLB victory with the Chicago White Sox in 1985.
