Las Vegas, the city of lights, is facing a decline in tourism, but one venue is bucking the trend: Allegiant Stadium. While the city's popularity is waning, the stadium's attendance is soaring, and it's all thanks to the Raiders.
According to Mick Akers of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Allegiant Stadium saw a significant rise in attendance during the final quarter of 2025 compared to the previous year. From October to December 2025, the stadium attracted 531,609 visitors for 38 events, whereas in the same period of 2024, 512,145 people attended 40 events.
Despite a 7.5% reduction in tourism for Las Vegas in the second half of 2025, Allegiant Stadium's numbers are still impressive. The nine Raiders home games in 2025 brought in 497,934 visitors, with an average of 63% of attendees not residing in Southern Nevada. This indicates that the Raiders are attracting a significant portion of visitors who are not regular gamblers.
But here's where it gets controversial... Is it a coincidence that the Raiders' success on the field has coincided with a surge in Allegiant Stadium's attendance? The Raiders have only made the playoffs twice since 2002, but their recent performances have been promising. If they become a consistent contender again, it could be a game-changer for Las Vegas.
And this is the part most people miss... While gambling may not be the primary draw to Las Vegas anymore, the Raiders are providing an alternative. If the city wants to attract visitors, it needs to offer more than just casinos.
Las Vegas could benefit greatly from hosting another Super Bowl. Allegiant Stadium is already on track to host Super Bowl LXIII, which is impressive considering it only staged its first Super Bowl five years ago. But will it be enough to bring back the city's former glory?
So, what do you think? Is the Raiders' success the key to Las Vegas' future, or is there another factor at play? Let us know in the comments!
